Tabasheer principle in participating in the construction and building materials field has been started with the very beginning of the century or even before. The main reason of initiating
Tabasheer was to introduce and supply a new effective building system to the gulf region that helps builders, architects, MEP engineers, consulting engineers and development firms to take full advantage of every element the technology can provide in the modern world to produce a safe, non-hazardous, efficient, power-saving and cost controllable building solution in a very easy fast building procedures.
Tabasheer system is based on the bearing walls structural system consisting of wall-forms which are expanded polystyrene interlocking rigid foam boards that serve as stay in-place formwork. The interior of a building constructed by Tabasheer walls shall be covered by appropriate finishing methods as


approved by the Architect of each project, these methods which shall be explained in the next sections.
Tabasheer system wall‐form is based on containing the reinforced concrete between the two expanded polystyrene boards with gab of 100 to 200 mm. Each board is 50mm thick, supported by plastic ties to keep the boards strong and to enable the construction team to build the wall before casting the concrete in an easy way with the shuttering supporting the forms.
Tabasheer deck-form is made out of expanded polystyrene strips which can be made on different sizes according to each project, Tabasheer deck has a support C channel installed in the body of each form to support the slab when casting the concrete over it. The system is made to enable a fast procedure of erecting concrete slab forms by supporting the slabs by the minimum tools/equipments/manpower to save as much time and expenses during the project construction phase.

The Tabasheer Wall-Forms system is an insulated Concrete system which is made of interlocking form blocks featuring high-density expanded polystyrene insulation. Buildings built with Tabasheer Wall-Forms Insulated Concrete Forms provide excellent energy efficiency, noise control and resistance to natural disasters and offer a high quality alternative to traditional construction methods.


1. Expandable polystyrene foam boards which are molded from expandable polystyrene beads. It has a various density between 15 to 25 Kg/M³. Each board is 0.24 M² in size (1200mm wide, 200mm high), allowing the user to build insulated buildings with concrete walls from 100mm to 250mm thick and accommodate the worldwide codes for bearing walls steel reinforcing.

2. High impact ties and corners which are manufactured from high density polypropylene in various lengths of 50mm increments and have 32mm wide by 55mm high flanges. The plastic tie flanges provide mechanism for attaching interior and exterior wall coverings. Also provide quick assembly of walls, considering that these ties also allow installers to assemble a wide variety of shapes including curved walls, brick ledges and offsets.



The Tabasheer Wall-Forms provide an ideal building solution for building homes, warehouses, office and retail complexes, multi-story industrial structures as well as special use buildings, Achieving optimal moisture control. The system can be used up to a building with 6 floors high.


The insulating value of finished walls can attain R-20 depending on weather conditions and finishing materials.

System Attributes:

The system can be used to create special wall shapes for a more customized look. It also adds year-round versatility by reducing the costs associated with concrete or masonry construction during cold weather and, because of its thermal barrier, the steps required for concrete building in extremely hot conditions.
The Tabasheer deck System consists of interlocking rigid polystyrene foam plastic panels with inserted steel stiffeners, and is a permanent formwork for reinforced concrete joists and slab. The system is an Insulated Concrete Form panel for floors and roofs to be used in residential and commercial applications.


  1. Base Sections: This profile consists of a wire-cut expanded polystyrene (EPS) panel with provision for load-bearing, concrete structural joists.
The sides of the panels have an interlocking configuration. Cut-outs for the metal Cchannel stiffeners are made on the bottom face of the base sections. The stiffener cut-outs are spaced 300mm on center. The panels can be 1200mm wide by lengths as needed. The foam billets used to fabricate the base sections are molded from modified, expandable polystyrene beads that comply with Type 8 EPS classification in accordance with the latest ASTM C578 requirements. The foam plastic has a nominal density of 1.25 lbs. pcf and has a maximum flame-spread rating of 25 and maximum smoke-density rating of 450 when tested in accordance with ASTM E84 in a thickness of 100mm.
2. Top Hats: This profile is also wire-cut from Expandable polystyrene foam
  boards. During installation, it is attached to the top of the base sections in order to increase the depth of the load-bearing concrete joist. The top hats are molded from modified, expandable polystyrene beads that comply with Type 1 EPS classification requirements in accordance with the latest ASTM C578 requirements. The foam plastic has a nominal density of 0.75 lbs, pcf and has a maximum flame spread rating of 25 and a maximum smoke density rating of 450 when tested in accordance with ASTM E84 in a thickness of 100mm. 3. Steel C-channel: The channels are formed from 18 gauge (0.051 6") Type G90, galvanized steel in compliance with ASTM A653, Chemically Treated, Dry or lightly oiled. The nominal dimensions of the channels are 1 112" flange by 3 112" web with 318" thick return lip. The channels are inserted into the channel cutouts on the bottom face of the base sections. To maintain the base sections in place, 3 inch self-tapping screws with plastic insulation washers are fastened through the top face of the base section and into the stiffener.
